Consultation with mental health professionals

I’m not a supervisor, but I offer consultation services to other mental health professionals. Consultation and supervision are different, but consultation can be beneficial and can support you and your client. As therapist’s, we don’t know everything (nor should we).

Consulting with another professional can help you when you feel stuck, confused, or need to bounce ideas off of someone else. I work from a narrative, person-centered, and trauma-informed approach. As a woman of color, I also take an intersectional approach as a therapist and consultant.

I have experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, depression, anxiety, relational stressors, and life stressors/changes. I have over 10 years of experience in the field from working in a group practice and community mental health, to working a short-term inpatient facility, school systems, non-profits, and as a hotline advocate for sexual assault survivors as a college student. I also have extensive experience working with teens, adults, and families who’ve been impacted by trauma, marginalized identities, and poverty. I support other therapists through consultation who want support in the following populations or topics:

  • Survivors of abuse

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Teens

  • BIPOC community and multi-cultural approaches (specifically working with Native folks)

  • Suicide ideation and safety planning

  • Self-harm

  • How to start a private practice

  • How to become an independent contractor with school districts

If you would like to consult, reach out here and we can schedule a time to chat.
