I work virtually with clients who reside in the state of Alaska. As someone who is from the Tsmshian tribe and grew up in Southeast Alaska, I understand the importance of working with someone who understands the culture. Being born and raised in Alaska is a different experience than living in or growing up in the lower 48s, and as an Alaskan Native I understand the significance for finding a therapist who is able to grasp what it’s like growing up in a rural area, or just as someone who is also Native.
